The triple glazed windows offered decent sound insulation from the busy street outside, allowing for a somewhat peaceful night despite the location. Proximity to the RSC Theatre was a nice perk for evening outings, and the clean en suite added an extra touch of comfort on this weekend getaway.
The hotel stands on a noisy thoroughfare, and noise can creep in, especially during peak hours. so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The access to the second floor is a bit taxing, especially for anyone unsteady, given the steepness of the stairs, and the mattress sagged noticeably, making it less than ideal for a restful sleep. I noticed a lingering smell in the smaller room, particularly when the window stayed shut, which left a slight impression of mustiness. Shower pressure on that level was disappointingly weak, particularly when the foot traffic was high during morning hours.

Just a reliable pick for an overnight stay in Stratford-upon-Avon with best value. The property is well maintained, and we appreciated the friendly staff. Consider the narrow and winding staircases if mobility is a concern.

Perfect for a quick getaway
The place was clean and spotless! The mattress was really comfy, which is crucial for a good night's sleep. The owner Mark was super helpful, giving us tips about the local area and being generally attentive throughout our stay.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but the comfort made it acceptable.

The room itself was spotlessly clean, which made settling in easy. Proximity to local eateries offered a delightful experience, allowing for quick grabs of fresh seafood and other local cuisine.
Staying in the basement room had its quirks. it was a bit unsettling at times with outside noise creeping in, especially at late hours from nearby guests and street activity. The steep stairs on the second floor could be a tripping hazard for those a bit unsteady on their feet. a faint odor from the bathroom's drainage system was present in the mornings, but it was manageable if you kept the window open. The exterior didn’t match the lushness of the photos seen online, presenting more of a tired Victorian house look that might put someone off.

Super close to everything!
The place is super cozy and just 4 mins walk from the station and the town. My room was neat and comfy, with a decent size bathroom. Breakfast was a hit with nice coffee, but the bed could be a bit better. All in all, it’s a solid choice if you're here for the sights!
